Hace poco, tuvimos el privilegio de entrevistar a Christofer Johnsson, el lider de Therion, durante su gira Leviathan III Tour 2024, en la cual estuvimos presentes en las fechas de Argentina y Bolivia.
Durante una conversación de dos horas, abordamos temas cruciales sobre el futuro de Therion. Una de las preguntas importantes fue si esta seria la ultima gira de la banda. Christofer respondió que aunque se tomará un descanso, tienen planes de regresar en 2029, durante el cual lanzaran 4 discos de estudio: 2 con “Therion” y 2 con su otro proyecto, “Luciferian Light Orchestra”.
Como todo fan, es natural sentir incertidumbre ante la posibilidad de que esta sea la despedida de una de nuestras bandas favoritas. Sin embargo, Christofer explicó que su independencia económica le permite tomar decisiones tranquilamente sin necesidad de realizar un disco y posteriormente el tour que casi siempre es una regla.
Tambien se preguntó la idea de una posible reunión con exmiembros de la banda, similar a lo que Helloween ha hecho en el pasado. La respuesta de Christofer fue un rotundo “No”, ya que no cree en esas reuniones sentimentales.
A lo largo de la entrevista, quedó claro que Christofer mas allá de ser el lider de una de las bandas mas importantes de la historia de la música, es un hombre multifacético: granjero, inversionista, filántropo y padre. Su conocimiento sobre el mundo actual y su perspectiva sobre la música revela la complejidad de esta mente maestra tras esta banda. Es evidente que tiene una visión amplia y realizar muchas cosas a través de su arte.
Deseamos que, Christofer esté con buena salud para regresar con fuerza en 2029 y que tenga éxito en todos sus proyectos, ya que es alguien que hace que nuestro mundo sea mejor con su música y sus acciones.


Ambos Shows estuvieron cargados de emociones iniciaron fuerte con Seven Secrets of the Sphinx, tocaron clásicos como: Ginnungagap, Typhon, Lemuria, además de tocar una canción que nunca se había tocado en vivo Mark of Cain, también tocando canciones de su ultima trilogía de Leviathan como: El primer sol, Tuonela, Eye of Algol. Y cerraron el show con una nota alta tocando 3 himnos establecidos en la música universal: To Mega Therion, The Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah y Son of the Staves of Time. Fueron shows de muchas emociones, alegría, tristeza, nostalgia. Nuestros amigos se van para volver en 2029 con la misma fuerza y intensidad que los caracteriza. Esto no es un adiós, sino un hasta luego.


Exclusive Interview with Christofer Johnsson and Coverage of Therion in Buenos Aires and La Paz
Recently, we had the privilege of interviewing Christofer Johnsson, the leader of Therion, during their Leviathan III Tour 2024, in which we were present at the dates in Argentina and Bolivia.
During a two-hour conversation, we addressed crucial issues regarding the future of Therion. One of the important questions was whether this would be the band’s last tour. Christofer responded that although they will take a break, they have plans to return in 2029, during which they will release 4 studio albums: 2 with “Therion” and 2 with their other project, “Luciferian Light Orchestra”.
Like any fan, it is natural to feel uncertainty at the possibility that this is the farewell of one of our favorite bands. However, Christofer explained that his financial independence allows him to make decisions calmly without having to make an album and then the tour, which is almost always a rule.
The idea of a possible reunion with former band members was also raised, similar to what Helloween has done in the past. Christofer’s answer was a resounding «No», as he does not believe in such sentimental reunions.
Throughout the interview, it was clear that Christofer, beyond being the leader of one of the most important bands in the history of music, is a multifaceted man: farmer, investor, philanthropist and father. His knowledge of the current world and his perspective on music reveal the complexity of this mastermind behind this band. It is evident that he has a broad vision and accomplishes many things through his art.
We wish Christofer good health to return strongly in 2029 and that he is successful in all his projects, as he is someone who makes our world better with his music and actions.

And they closed the show on a high note playing 3 established hymns in universal music: To Mega Therion, The Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah and Son of the Staves of Time. They were shows full of emotions, joy, sadness, nostalgia. Our friends are leaving to return in 2029 with the same strength and intensity that characterizes them. This is not a goodbye, but a see you later.
