La doncella de hierro tuvo 2 presentaciones en Buenos Aires el 01/12/24 y el 02/12/24, respectivamente. Nos hicimos presentes en las fechas en el Estadio de Huracán y Movistar Arena.

Stadium de Huracán 01/12/24

Empezamos a hacer la fila a las 7 de la mañana, un domingo nublado con pronóstico de lluvia todo el día. Nos movieron 2 calles lejos del estadio para hacer la fila, no había cómo cubrirse de la lluvia ya que corría viento en todas las direcciones. Pero la espera valdría la pena.

La entrada estaba prevista a las 16:00 hrs, pero recién pudimos ingresar a las 17:45, éramos los primeros de la fila. Al ingresar, nos dieron una tarjeta para participar por un sorteo de un setlist o vinilo firmado por la banda. Al correr hacia la valla, habían dividido el campo en 2 sectores, y nos encontramos con el club de fans oficial que había ingresado antes.

La espera fue larga, pero afortunadamente, estando en la 2ª fila del lado izquierdo, pudimos estar constantemente hidratados por el equipo encargado de distribuir agua entre los fans, que incluso recibían cánticos que entretenían el ambiente.

La sobreventa de localidades de campo hizo que, llegada la hora en que estaba culminando la presentación de MALON, las personas que entraron de último momento quedaran en los pasillos de ingreso, sin llegar a ser ni espectadores.

Los edificios aledaños hicieron de plateas para aquellos aventurados.

Malon el único telonero inició a las 19:40, arrancando con toda la fuerza de “Un cielo rojo” e “Hipotecado”, constantemente agitando al público argentino y extranjeros visitantes.

Tocó sus más grandes éxitos como: “30.000 plegarias”, “Gatillo fácil”, “Malón mestizo”, y “Síntoma de la infección”. La presentación de Malon fue impecable, dejando al público con más ganas de Metal.

La espera de Iron Maiden afortunadamente fue más corta, el ambiente se puso electrizante cuando empezó a sonar “Doctor Doctor” de UFO. En la oscuridad empezó el intro de Blade Runner, para después continuar con “Caught Somewhere in Time”, donde también pudimos ver a Eddie Bounty Hunter Galáctico.

El recital estuvo plagado de momentos épicos. Por cada canción que pasaba, cambiaba el fondo del escenario, constantemente sumergiéndonos aun más en la esencia de lo que fue la historia de Iron Maiden.

La épica pelea entre Eddie y Bruce en “Heaven Can Wait”, otro momento memorable fue escuchar por primera vez en vivo “Alexander the Great”, y cómo no podía faltar corear a todo pulmón “Fear of the Dark”.

Eddie regresó al escenario como Samurai en «Iron Maiden», siendo derrotado por el habilidoso Janick Gers. La noche concluyó con un triste final al ritmo de “The Trooper” y “Wasted Years”. La primera noche mágica de Iron Maiden en Argentina se había terminado, pero con la sensación de que solo era el comienzo.

Movistar arena 02/12/2024

En Movistar Arena también hubo una larga espera en la fila, pero el concierto comenzó puntualmente. Con la organización del ingreso, comenzaron horas antes alineando todo de manera ordenada. Entre la euforia de los primeros fanáticos y el ansia de estar en la primera fila, comenzaron a empujar, lo que provocó que una de las vallas cayera y, como resultado, se retrasara la entrada al escenario. Una vez dentro, en la primera fila ya se encontraba el club de fans de todos los países latinoamericanos, quienes representaron a sus naciones con orgullo, mostrando las banderas de sus respectivos países.

Sin mucho que explicar Malón, la banda de thrash metal argentina, ofreció un sólido y energético show como telonero en el concierto. Con su característico sonido crudo y potente, la banda cautivó nuevamente al público con su mezcla de clásicos del metal y su actitud rebelde, además de dominar una excelente rítmica de guitarras. Mostrando la fuerza del metal argentino en un escenario internacional y un gran cierre.

Desde el momento en que las luces se apagaron, el ambiente estuvo cargado de emoción. La multitud comenzó a aclamar a la espera de la llegada de la banda, y cuando Bruce Dickinson, con su inconfundible energía, apareció en el escenario, el Movistar Arena estalló en ovaciones. La banda comenzó con un poderoso tema como «Caught Somewhere in Time», lo que hizo que los asistentes se entregaran de inmediato al poder de la música.

El sonido fue impresionante, con una calidad nítida que permitió disfrutar de cada instrumento, desde las guitarras afiladas de Dave Murray y Adrian Smith hasta la batería inquebrantable de Nicko McBrain. Steve Harris, el bajista que estuvo imparable, mantuvo la base rítmica firme, sólida e interactuando con la multitud, mostrando una vez más por qué Iron Maiden sigue siendo una de las bandas más grandes del mundo del metal.

El setlist contenía las mismas canciones del estadio de Huracán, tanto de su época dorada como de su producción más reciente, como «The Trooper», «Fear of the Dark». Además de la interpretación de algunas piezas de «Senjutsu», que fueron muy bien recibidas por los fans más recientes.

El show también se destacó por su espectáculo visual, con pantallas gigantes que mostraban imágenes de su icónico «Eddie» y otros elementos visuales temáticos. Las luces y los efectos especiales ayudaron a intensificar la atmósfera, haciendo que cada canción tuviera un impacto aún mayor.

Agregando momentos más emocionantes, fue cuando Bruce Dickinson, entre canción y canción, agradeció calurosamente a los fans argentinos, que, a pesar de ser menos en comparación con el estadio de Huracán, destacó la energía única del público de Buenos Aires, que siempre se ha destacado por su pasión y entrega. La conexión con la audiencia fue palpable, haciendo del concierto una verdadera fiesta de metal.

En resumen, Iron Maiden demostró, una vez más, por qué es una de las bandas más queridas y respetadas del mundo del rock.

La actuación en el estadio de Huracán y Movistar Arena fue una noche que quedará en la memoria de los fanáticos, quienes pudieron disfrutar de una experiencia única llena de nostalgia, poder y, por supuesto, el inconfundible sello de calidad que caracteriza a la banda. Sin duda, un concierto que solo Iron Maiden podría ofrecer.

Aspectos Negativos de las 2 fechas

– Es muy común que los objetos que lanzan los artistas (púas, muñequeras, baquetas, setlist) reboten en las manos de los fans que intentan atraparlos. Estos son atrapados por algunos de prevención y los de producción, que en su mayoría son devueltos a los fans. Pero en algunos casos se los guardan para ellos mismos para luego vender en Marketplace (Facebook), una actitud muy repudiable, y esperamos que la productora se haga cargo de la gente que contratan.

– Se debería permitir el ingreso de envases reutilizables para guardar agua. Si bien es cierto que en los recitales se sufre mucho calor y gasto energético, es importante la constante hidratación. Se vio el uso de muchos vasos plásticos que eran reutilizados reiteradas veces; algunos te devolvían con tierra.

Iron Maiden in Argentina, two unforgettable nights

The Iron Maiden had 2 presentations in Buenos Aires on 12/01/24 and 12/02/24, respectively. We were present on the dates at the Huracán Stadium and Movistar Arena.

Huracán Stadium 01/12/24

We started lining up at 7am, a cloudy Sunday with rain forecast all day. They moved us 2 blocks away from the stadium to wait in line, there was no way to protect ourselves from the rain since the wind was blowing in all directions. But the wait would be worth it.

Entry was scheduled for 4:00 p.m., but we were only able to enter at 5:45 p.m., we were the first in line. Upon entering, they gave us a card to participate in a drawing for a setlist or vinyl signed by the band. Running towards the fence, they had divided the field into 2 sectors, and we met the official fan club that had entered earlier.

The wait was long, but fortunately, being in the 2nd row on the left side, we were able to be constantly hydrated by the team in charge of distributing water among the fans, who even received songs that entertained the atmosphere.

The overselling of country seats meant that, when the time came when the presentation of MALON was ending, the people who entered at the last minute were left in the entrance halls, without even becoming spectators.

The surrounding buildings served as stalls for those who were adventurous.

Malon, the only opening act, started at 7:40 p.m., starting off with all the force of “Un cielo rojo” and “Hipotecado”, constantly stirring up the Argentine audience and visiting foreigners.

They played his greatest hits such as: “30,000 prayers”, “Gatillo Facil”, “Malón mestizo”, and “Simtoma de la Infeccion”. Malon's presentation was impeccable, leaving the audience wanting more Metal.

Iron Maiden's wait was fortunately shorter, the atmosphere became electric when UFO's “Doctor Doctor” began to play. In the darkness the intro of Blade Runner began, and then continued with “Caught Somewhere in Time”, where we could also see Eddie Bounty Hunter.

The Concert was full of epic moments. For each song that passed, the background of the stage changed, constantly immersing us even further into the essence of what Iron Maiden's story was.

The epic fight between Eddie and Bruce in “Heaven Can Wait”, another memorable moment was hearing “Alexander the Great” live for the first time, and how one could not miss chanting “Fear of the Dark” at the top of one's lungs.

Eddie returned to the stage as Samurai in "Iron Maiden", being defeated by the skilled Janick Gers. The night concluded with a sad ending to the rhythm of “The Trooper” and “Wasted Years.” Iron Maiden's first magical night in Argentina was over, but with the feeling that it was only the beginning.

Movistar Arena 02/12/2024

At Movistar Arena there was also a long wait in line, but the concert started on time. With the organization of the entry, they started hours before lining everything up in an orderly manner. Between the euphoria of the first fans and the desire to be in the front row, they began to push, which caused one of the fences to fall and, as a result, the entrance to the stage was delayed. Once inside, in the first row there was already the fan club of all the Latin American countries, who represented their nations with pride, showing the flags of their respective countries.

Without much to explain, Malón, the Argentine thrash metal band, offered a solid and energetic show as the opening act at the concert. With their characteristic raw and powerful sound, the band once again captivated the audience with their mix of metal classics and their rebellious attitude, in addition to mastering excellent guitar rhythms. Showing the strength of Argentine metal on an international stage and a great closing.

From the moment the lights went out, the atmosphere was charged with emotion. The crowd began to cheer in anticipation of the band's arrival, and when Bruce Dickinson, with his unmistakable energy, appeared on stage, the Movistar Arena erupted in cheers. The band began with a powerful song like "Caught Somewhere in Time", which made attendees immediately surrender to the power of the music.

The sound was impressive, with a crisp quality that allowed every instrument to be enjoyed, from Dave Murray and Adrian Smith's sharp guitars to Nicko McBrain's unwavering drums. Steve Harris, the bassist who was unstoppable, kept the rhythmic foundation firm, solid and interacting with the crowd, showing once again why Iron Maiden remains one of the biggest bands in the metal world.

The setlist contained the same songs from Huracán's stadium, both from their golden era and their most recent production, such as "The Trooper", "Fear of the Dark". In addition to the interpretation of some pieces of "Senjutsu", which were very well received by the most recent fans.

The show was also notable for its visual spectacle, with giant screens displaying images of its iconic "Eddie" and other thematic visuals. The lighting and special effects helped intensify the atmosphere, making each song have even greater impact.

Adding more exciting moments was when Bruce Dickinson, between songs, warmly thanked the Argentine fans, who, despite being fewer compared to the Huracán stadium, highlighted the unique energy of the Buenos Aires public, which always He has stood out for his passion and dedication. The connection with the audience was palpable, making the concert a true metal party.

In short, Iron Maiden demonstrated, once again, why they are one of the most loved and respected bands in the world of rock.

The performance at the Huracán stadium and Movistar Arena was a night that will remain in the memory of the fans, who were able to enjoy a unique experience full of nostalgia, power and, of course, the unmistakable seal of quality that characterizes the band. Without a doubt, a concert that only Iron Maiden could offer.

Negative aspects of the 2 dates

- It is very common for the objects that artists throw (picks, wristbands, drumsticks, setlist) to bounce off the hands of fans who try to catch them. These are caught by some prevention and production ones, which are mostly returned to the fans. But in some cases they keep it for themselves and then sell on Marketplace (Facebook), a very reprehensible attitude, and we hope that the production company takes care of the people they hire.

- Reusable containers should be allowed to store water. Although it is true that recitals involve a lot of heat and energy expenditure, constant hydration is important. The use of many plastic cups was seen that were reused repeatedly; some returned you with dirt.
